Today's (27-7-2011) CandleLightVigil at Maju Junction

Today's (27-7-2011) CandleLightVigil was at Maju Junction & had a response of about 150+. Among the many repeat attendees, one person that i see daily is Cynthia Hor who dedicates her precious evenings to be with the family members of the detainees. Malaysian's are labelled as the Caring society. However when it comes to making the stand against all that is going wrong in our country, we are a pathetic lot when compared to catching a live MTV, or stars from HongKong or a 3rd rate football game.

Tomorrow's CLV will be in Brickfields (near a fountain). Be there if you can make it.

May our Lord shower His blessings on all those who attended today's CLV & also upon all those who did not. Peace Be With You

Good scoop. Yes, a state of emergency was declared in Malaysia following the May13th, 1969 riots and after 41 years it has not been rescinded because if their governance is threatened, the BN government will use it through their BN-linked thugs to trigger racial violence. Thus they will suspend parliamentary process, proclaim a national emergency and rule through a military-police-UMNO cabinet & live happily ever after

Disgusted Christians slam Najib for reverting to religious bigotry after papal visit

Najib is continously insulting the Christians by his remarks and i have yet to see a response by our archbishop. I, a Catholic hereby request Tan Sri Murphy Pakiam to immediately respond to his gutter politics or vacate his seat as the Archbishop of Kuala Lumpur.

DPM hints at early polls and call for all Barisan Nasional parties to strengthen unity

“It is wrong to ask who will rule. The ability to vote a bad government out of office is enough. That is democracy.  Karl Popper”
The Writings on the Wall: The BN Government, with the help of its brutal Police Force, has demonized its own citizens for umpteen years & used race and religion to divide the people, Desecrated Holy Books, Fire Bombed Churches & put Innocent Citizens into solitary confinement - but is now thinking of strengthening unity.  I wish that i could wish that all of you in BN will rot in HELL, but my religion does not allow me to do it

Wong Chun Wai of The Star's "On The Beat" articles are a THANK YOU to his spin-masters in the govt for conferring him with a Datukship. Thanks Nicholas. I agree .. a lot have a indifferent attitude & just pay lip service but we have no choice but to love our neighbor since they have been created in the image & likeness of God. Thus we'll continue to share the pain of the family members who are under-going the ordeal of their loved ones in solitary confinement. Maybe one day there will be conversion of heart of the fence sitters. God Bless You my man. C U 2morrow

The BIG Question : Last Friday to Last Sunday … This Friday to This Sunday

Last Friday to Last Sunday most of us visited our respective places of worship. From This Friday to This Sunday we will again visit our respective places of worship. But the BIG question is whether we did anything in-between ie. whether we put into practice what we prayed for through our holy books. Did we make a stand against corruption, injustices & abuses of power or did we do anything for  the sick, the disabled, the aged, the hungry etc. If we did something, than well & good our treasures are stacked up in heaven. If we did nothing for the COMMON GOOD or for our NEIGHBOR than I think our prayers has zero returns.

The BIG Question again is whether we want to continue to remain in our comfort zone or cozy corner with our … sipping a glass of wine or beer whilst the world around us goes by, and others are sacrificing their time for the COMMON GOOD & for the NEIGHBOR

Words of Wisdom by the Dalai Lama

Our prime purpose in this life is to help others. And if you can't help them, at least don't hurt them.

If you want others to be happy, practice compassion. If you want to be happy, practice compassion.

Love and compassion are necessities, not luxuries.
Without them, humanity cannot survive.

If the love within your mind is lost and you see other beings as enemies, then no matter how much knowledge or education or material comfort you have, only suffering and confusion will ensue.

Only the development of compassion and understanding for others can bring us the tranquillity and happiness we all seek.

True compassion is universal in scope. It is accompanied by a feeling of responsibility.

A truly compassionate attitude toward others does not change even if they behave negatively or hurt you.

As people alive today, we must consider future generations: a clean environment is a human right like any other. It is therefore part of our responsibility toward others to ensure that the world we pass on is as healthy, if not healthier, than we found it.

Ultimately, the decision to save the environment must come from the human heart. The key point is a call for a genuine sense of universal responsibility that is based on love, compassion and clear awareness.

Old friends pass away, new friends appear. It is just like the days. An old day passes, a new day arrives. The important thing is to make it meaningful: a meaningful friend - or a meaningful day.

A good friend who points out mistakes and imperfections and rebukes evil is to be respected as if he reveals the secret of some hidden treasure.

Sometimes one creates a dynamic impression by saying something, and sometimes one creates as significant an impression by remaining silent.

Remember that the best relationship is one in which your love for each other exceeds your need for each other.

Remember that sometimes not getting what you want is a wonderful stroke of luck

The purpose of all the major religious traditions is not to construct big temples on the outside, but to create temples of goodness and compassion inside, in our hearts.

A good friend who points out mistakes and imperfections and rebukes evil is to be respected as if he reveals the secret of some hidden treasure.

The creatures that inhabit this earth--be they human beings or animals--are here to contribute, each in its own particular way, to the beauty and prosperity of the world.

Because we all share this planet earth, we have to learn to live in harmony and peace with each other and with nature. This is not just a dream, but a necessity.

DIDN'T SEE YOU THERE : Candle-Light Vigil from 8PM - 9PM @ Bukit Aman Police Hq daily. This vigil is for the immediate release of the 6 arrested under the Emergency Ordinance (Detention Without Trial). Just returned after today's (July 19,2011) candle light vigil. At least about 100 people were present - people from all walks of life, women with their children, Bar council members, a senator & Yang Hormats were there. May our Lord bless all those who sacrificed their lifestyles ie. foregoing a draft/beer or a glass of wine with their favorite noodles or checking in at their favorite places .. in order to share a moment with the family members of the victims who are under-going this ordeal.
