TGIF !!! ... Since the weekend is here (20 January 2012)

TGIF !! ... Since the weekend is here & most of us will be visiting our respective house of worship, let us not forget that going down on our knees or raising-up our hands or joss-sticks to the Almighty is meaningless, if we blame God when bad things happen to us? 

God’s ways are not our ways & there are things we would have asked of God … maybe a relationship and it didn’t materialize. Perhaps that was God’s answer in not allowing the relationship to materialize as it could have shattered us beyond our imagination. Most of the time we violate what God has forbidden & abuse & overindulge in e.g. Smoking, Drinking, Sex or Relationships & suffer physically the consequences of these over-indulgences. Thus God cannot be blamed for the consequences of our actions as we have chosen to indulge in this evil although God would have warned us through our conscience … meaning, we reap what we sow & deserve all the pain & the suffering that comes with our passion for abuse.
There are many among us who were born into situations where they don’t need to sweat for their meals, for their education nor for job opportunities. This is not because of their brilliance, but because they were born into well-connected families or where their family members were in positions whereby they can influence a decision or take advantage of a situation which is beneficial for their family member at the expense of another deserving candidate. Thus the roads they traverse in their journey-of-life are always paved with gold, with golden opportunities & with beautiful Men/Women trampling over each other to get their attention etc.
But MOST of us are NOT that fortunate. But opportunities seem to come, maybe through sheer hard-work, through our own initiatives and through our friendships that we create in our journey-of-life. And most of the time we are happy with what we have achieved through these painful circumstances & for having come this far.
However, for some of us, this happiness after sometime may come to a grinding halt - thus, although we prosper & live in comfort after a painful journey through poverty, there seems to be something that is niggling or troubling us. It could be anything .. Family, Relationships, Work, Past & Present Betrayals or it could be something that we want but are unable to get. It could also be childhood memories of being cheated, betrayed or taken advantage-of because of our family background which is usually poverty. We may turn to God for help to overcome this un-happiness but even our prayers doesn’t seem to go through the roof. We become frustrated, melancholy & at times angry with ourselves … asking why this should happen to me although I have all that I want. 

Thus we start planting these tiny bombs of past betrayals etc which implodes whenever we are frustrated, melancholy or angry or maybe even explode when in the company of others, thus damaging relationships that we try to create. If it is bad memories of the past that is causing this un-happiness, we should seek God’s help to LET GO of these memories & move-on with life with what we have achieved to-date. God will not help us if we choose to linger on these past bad memories and thus we cannot blame God for bad things (un-happiness) that happens to us.

The way God operates in “The parable of the The Generous Landowner “ is most puzzling . Those who were hired later are paid the same as those who came in earlier. Our immediate thoughts are “This is not fair.” But our way of thinking is not God’s way of thinking. “My way is not your ways, my thoughts are not your thoughts.” Gods sense of righteousness is not the same as ours. God’s ways may seem unjust to us but what we must remember is God’s ways are JUST even when it doesn’t seem fair.

A SLAP for Mahathir : Anwar acquitted from a politically-charged sodomy charge, a drama that has riveted and shocked Malaysians and earned worldwide criticism. Since Mahathir’s era the Judiciary was perceived to be the most corrupt sector in the country. But with this verdict the people are shocked that there are a few good men left.

Five people suffered minor injuries in three explosions at the vicinity of Jalan Duta court complex this morning where the verdict was to be announced. Just before BERSIH-2 explosives were found near SOGO. During HINDRAF’s protests ( for the right to live in this country as equal human beings), the police found arms catchment in Batu Caves. This is NOT Rocket Science & we need not seek FBI or CIA’s help to find-out as to who were planting these, neither do we need to ask the people who are put in charge of law and order.

Addicted with the power of money, the powers-that-be are dwelling in in the tents of wickedness and will use everything at their disposal to remain in power. So let us not continue to be manipulated and sleep with the enemy by remaining silent to all the evil that is going-on in the country for over 50 years - Corruption, Discrimination, Injustice, Inequality, Abuse of Power and Religious Persecution. Let not our silence continue to take this nation of ours down the likes of Afganistan, Pakistan, Sudan or Nigeria.

Shortly after being acquitted, Anwar said on his Twitter feed that “in the coming election, the voice of the people will be heard and this corrupt government will be toppled from its pedestals of power.”
There may be amongst us those who don’t like Anwar for whatever reason, but he seems to be the only one who could bring together the diverse opposition groups - a conservative ethnic Malay Islamic party, a secular party representing ethnic Chinese and Indian minorities in order to challenge & topple the corrupt BN. Let’s give him a chance as he knows what pain is, as he had suffered heinously under the blood thirsty Dr. M.

Remember we are the good guys & the powers-that-be are the bad guys. So STAY AWAKE for we do not know when the hour will come .. the hour when GE-13 will be announced when we can purge this nation of all despicable politicians or continue to be manipulated & molested through carefully designed propaganda campaigns meant to portray the powers-that-be as the morally decent guys, and we the bad guys, while they continue the rape of the nation’s coffers.

TGIF !!! ... Since the weekend is here (30 December 2011)

TGIF !! ... Since the weekend is here & most of us will be visiting our respective house of worship, let us not forget that going down on our knees or raising-up our hands or joss-sticks to the Almighty is meaningless, if we were asleep to all the evil that was and is going on in our country, especially with regards to the Band Of Thieves in the government who were, and are, ransacking everything that they were entrusted with.
Religion can be the best thing around & Religion can be the worst thing around. Religion can be the best thing around if we use Religion to bring comfort & joy to everyone we meet especially those in pain. Religion can be the worst thing around when it is used, as we witnessed in 2011, to inflict PAIN, ANGER, VENGEANCE, ENVY, HATRED and BITTERNESS.
And in 2011 we witnessed how this nation of ours had become an unholy nation because of our corrupt leaders and 2011 was also a shameful period for our nation as the Leaders of this nation unleashed on 9th of July, chemical-laced water-cannons and baton-charging policemen on innocent citizens who marched for electoral reforms. All our efforts with BERSIH-2 were not in vain as some of the recommendations are being implemented and the candle-light vigils were a big success with the release of the EO-6.
Remember what C.S.Lewis said, “We all want progress, but if you're on the wrong road, progress means doing an about-turn and walking back to the right road." But the situation in our country is what a friend said in her blog “doing the Joget dance - one step forward, 2 steps back.”
Many of us are also stumbling blocks for the progress of our nation with our vacillations when it comes to making a stand. We would prefer to check-in at eateries & pubs for our favorite char-kwai-teow & a can of pí-jiǔ plus a bottle of wine & only protest or make a stand in the urinals.
Now we are living in the "in-between-times" i.e. in-between-the-elections when things can become worse when the powers-that-be will use everything at their disposal to remain in power. But WE HAVE A CHOICE: to have zero-tolerance for corruption & abuse of power or ultimately to implode and disintegrate emotionally and spiritually as a people and as a nation.

As believers, let us ask our God to Make us HIS instrument, so that: Where there is hatred, we will sow LOVE; Where there is injury, PARDON; Where there is doubt, FAITH; Where there is despair, HOPE; Where there is darkness, LIGHT; and Where there is sadness, JOY.
